Mimimalist Japanese saxophone player Katsura Yamauchi embarks on a rare Irish tour in October, screening his new short film, HaRuLi accompanied by solo performances from Yamauchi, then a collaborative improvised set with krautrock/no-wave/psych improv group ¡NO!. The first date takes place at A4 Sounds on St. Joseph's Parade on Inn's Quay on October 20.
The Zen avant-garde artist previously performed with the group in 2013, and this tour takes in his themes of the paradox of water's constancy & flux, with musicians probing the interstices between instrumental expressions of flow & restrain and the presence and timelessness of the moment.
