Taking place on 7 stages throughout the creative sector of Berlin's Neukölln district, a new festival called Craw aims to build a cultural bridge between our nations, exporting elements of the Irish music & arts community to the German capital from June 22-24.
The narrative begins on Friday afternoon with a street performance, led through the Craw exhibition of installations, pop-up performances, programmed theatre, film & concerts. Artists performing include Damien Dempsey, Candice Gordon, Nina Hynes, TAU, Dee Mulrooney, Richie Heffernan, LAIR, Dave Hedderman, A.S. Fanning, T.B. Arthur, Elizabeth Rushe, John Connors, Yvonne McGuinness, Sculptress, Angus Massey, Visceral, Eric Eckhart, Eva Garland, Chris Kelly, Dervla Berlin, Christopher Colm Morrin, Louis Brennan, LAIR, Cian O'Maonlaoi, You're only Massive, Steppenkind, Mary Kelly, Visceral, Blackened Trees, Liam Ryan, Turlach O'Broin, Craig Teatime, Gar Cox, David Turpin, Mein Haus, Pearly, Alice Dean.
Taking in the quintessential aspects of Irish culture, there'll be lock-ins, Sunday brunch, wake & confessional box, as well as spoken word, cinema & dance.
The festival is completely free, aside from limited tickets for Damien Dempsey, and theatre, film & John Connors Q+A.
