Artist behind the Well & Kayo Dot, electronic auteur Toby Driver plays the Workman's Club for Dhalgren Sound on December 8.
Having just brought out his third album, They Are The Shield, his band features Timba Harris on Violin, Charlie Schmid on drums & Nick Hudson on keys. Its autumnal sound brings to bring Òlafur Arnalds, Grouper, Ulver & Jóhann Jóhannsson, with its contrasting expansive textures, chamber strings, and soft percussion.
Also playing is No Spill Blood synth wizard Ruadhan O'Meara's progressive synth/drone project Magic Pockets. His debut LP Volcano of The Bleeding Skies came out in 2016.
Supporting is multidisciplinary Dublin artist and Alien She member Katie O'Neill. Check her lo-fi, analogue/digital hybrid music out on Bandcamp. Opening is dark Americana project Del Judas, aka composer Charlie Schmid.
