At this point effectively a resident, Glen Hansard returns to Vicar Street for the first time since December, playing April 9 & 10 as part of an extensive European tour.
He became a national treasure for his 25 years in The Frames, then his actor/musician role in the film Once and its accompanying folk project, The Swell Season, which earned him a number of awards and nominations. Hansard quit school at 13 to busk on Dublin streets, forming the Frames in 1990 and appearing in The Commitments the following year after attending the New York Film Academy School of Acting.
His first solo album came out in 2012, followed up by the aforementioned Didn't He Ramble, with Between Two Shores coming out in January. His fourth solo album is set for release in early 2019.
