• Watch: Hornets – Stay Free

    Ahead of supporting LaFaro at Belfast’s Voodoo tonight, Saturday, December 14, Belfast-based punk metal band Hornets have unveiled the video to their new single, ‘Stay Free’. Shot and produced by Patrick McElwee,  the video for the single – released via Start Together Singles Club – was shot on location in Belfast city and features a guest appearance from Steven Toner from Belfast glam punk five-piece The Unprotected.   • Distillation 003: Hornets, No Spill Blood, PigsAsPeople

    Our intrepid photographer Liam Kielt was in attendance at their third installment of Distillation at Belfast’s Oh Yeah Centre. Headlined by Hornets, the showcase also featured suitably blinding sets from Belfast-based three-piece PigsAsPeople and Dublin band No Spill Blood.     With members coming together from multiple bands of varied genre, Hornets’ greatest asset is their three member’s combined experience. Each hailing from very different musical outfits, with that experience they have wisely decided to wait before gigging, to temper and hone their music into something cohesive and mature.
