• Deftones To Make Long-Awaited Dublin Return

    Having last played the city back in 2006, Deftones have announced they will play Dublin’s Vicar Street on May 9 and 10. Posting on their Facebook page, the Sacramento alternative metal five-piece band said they were “finally returning” after “many years”. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am priced €50.00. Back in April, Deftones released their eighth studio album, Gore. Stream it below.

  • The Jesus and Mary Chain Set For Irish Shows

    Having just confirmed their first album in 18 years, Damage and Joy, The Jesus and Mary Chain have announced they play Dublin’s The Academy on Friday, April 7 and Belfast’s Limelight on Saturday, April 8. The Scottish indie legends last Dublin back in July 2014 at Vicar Street as part of a warm-up tour ahead of shows celebrating their seminal 1985 debut album Psychocandy. Slightly further back in time, the band last stopped off in Belfast in September 1987 for a show at the Ulster Hall.   • Car Seat Headrest Announce Dublin Show

    Having released one of our favourite records of 2016 in May’s Teens of Denial, Virginia indie rock quartet Car Seat Headrest will play a show at Dublin’s Whelan’s on Monday, March 27. Originally formed as a solo project by Will Toledo back in 2010, the band has released twelve full-length albums via Bandcamp over the last six years. We’re a little exhausted just think about that, to be honest. Tickets for the band’s Dublin show go on sale this Friday (December 9) at 10am, priced €18.50.  

  • Thundercat Set For Vicar Street Return

    As part of a forthcoming 2017 world tour, it has been announced that Thundercat will play a date at Dublin’s Vicar Street on March 27. Presented by the ever-tasteful guys at Choice Cuts, will mark the return of the Californian multi-genre bassist, producer and singer, who played the legendary Thomas Street venue back in April 2015. Doors for the show are 7.30-11pm and admission is €25.00 ex booking fees. Tickets go on sale on December 9 at 9am.

    Having reformed with original members Slash and Duff McKagan back in April via shows at the Troubadour, Las Vegas and Coachella, it’s been announced that Guns N’ Roses will play Slane Castle as part of their globetrotting Not In This Lifetime tour on Saturday, May 27, Announced via an MCD press conference at Bruxelles in Dublin this morning, the show comes 25 years after the band played the legendary Irish festival back in 1992.   • Green Day Set For Irish Shows

    Having released their twelfth studio album, Revolution Radio, in October, it’s been announced that Green Day will play outdoor shows in Belfast and Dublin next summer. Supported by Rancid, the Billy Joe Armstrong-fronted trio will play Belfast’s Ormeau Park on June 28 and Dublin’s Royal Hospital Kilmainham on June 29. Tickets – which go on sale this Friday at 9am – are priced £45.00 and €59.50 including booking fee respectively.

  • Fleet Foxes Set For Iveagh Gardens Show

    Having recently revealed that their third studio album is almost completed following an extended hiatus, Fleet Foxes have announced that they will play Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens on Friday, July 14.   • Jagwar Ma Announce Dublin Show

    Having stopped off at the likes of Glastonbury and Lollapalooza Berlin as part of a worldwide headline tour this year, Sydney trio Jagwar Ma have announced they will play the Green Room of Dublin’s Academy on Friday, April 28. An album recalling rock’s discovery of acid house in the late eighties, the band’s second album, Every Now and Then, was released via Marathon Artists last month. Tickets for the band’s Dublin show are priced €21.00 including booking fee are on sale this Friday at 10am.

  • Angel Olsen Set For Irish Shows

    Having released easily one of the albums of the year in My Woman, Angel Olsen has announced she will return to Ireland for three dates in May as part of a forthcoming European tour. With tickets on sale this Thursday (November 24), Olsen will stop off at Dublin’s Vicar Street, Cork’s Opera House and Belfast’s Empire Music Hall on May 19, 20 and 21 respectively.
