Indie cult legends Neutral Milk Hotel paid Dublin a visit on Friday night. As elusive and mysterious as ever, they banned the presence of photographers and indeed any photo-taking devices whatsoever; the absence of tiny bright lights among the crowd proving a startlingly refreshing experience. Supported by Californian pop-folk singer-songwriter Brett Dennen, rejuvenated Australian roots band John Butler Trio returned to Dublin to play Vicar Street on Friday, April 25. Our photographer Aideen McFadden was there to capture the night.

Hotly tipped American electro-poppers Future Islands will be paying Dublin a visit this November with a date confirmed at Vicar Street. Tickets for the show, taking place on November 2 are priced at €20, and go on sale today,Thursday, April 10 at 9am. This show follows the release of the critically-acclaimed Singles album, which came out earlier this year.

Remember Del Amitri, the Scottish alternative rock band perhaps best remembered for their 1995 with ‘Roll To Me‘? Yes? No? Well, either way, they played Dublin’s Vicar Street on Wednesday, January 22 and Shaun Neary was there to take a few photos of both them and their support in the form of The O’s.
