Legendary New York hip-hop group Public Enemy are set to play Belfast’s Limelight 1 on Tuesday, August 5. Consisting of Chuck D, Flavor Flav, DJ Lord and more, the show will mark pioneering Long Island outfit’s debut show in the city, thirty two years after they formed. Lauded for albums including Fear of a Black Planet and It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, the group released their twelfth studio album, The Evil Empire of Everything, back in 2012. Still cruising on the wave of success that heralded the release of their latest album AM, Arctic Monkeys have announced that they will be coming to Ireland for an outdoor show at Marlay Park Dublin on July 12. Joining the Sheffield rockers will be Jake Bugg, Miles Kane and Royal Blood. Tickets for the show will be €61.50 and go on-sale this Friday at 9am from Ticketmaster. Legendary Seattle alt-rock four-piece Soundgarden have announced that they will play Dublin’s 02 on September 16. Having formed almost thirty years ago, tickets for the Chris Cornell-fronted band’s long-awaited return to Ireland will go on sale at 9am on Friday, May 24, priced at €54.50.
