Set to take over Dun Laoghair Harbour in Dublin across the August bank holiday (August 3-5), The Beatyard have revealed new acts and its day breakdown. Eleven new additions join the line-up: St Germain, Daphni (aka Caribou), Kiasmos, Django Django, Mr Scruff, King Kong Company, Confidence Man, Loah, The Scratch, The Reflex and Kelly-Anne Byrne. See the full current line-up and day breakdown below. Tickets for The Beatyard are available here, ranging from €59 for adult day tickets to €150 for an adult weekend ticket. Kids aged 0-2 go free; 2-12 year olds is just €5 per day.

Taking place across the weekend of August 5 & 6 is this year’s Beatyard Festival at The Beatyard of Dun Laoghaire Harbour with huge headliners Mark Ronson, in what will be an excellent DJ set from the tastemaker, as well as atmospheric French trip-hop channelling outfit Air. Set to return to Dun Laoghaire Harbour in Dublin on August 5 and 6, the first acts set to play this year’s The Beatyard have been announced. With many more acts, happenings and details set to be announced over the coming while, Bananarama, Candi Staton and Horse Meat Disco are the first artists revealed to play. Following on from its successful debut last year, the Beatyard Festival makes a welcome return to Dún Laoghaire’s former Stena Line ferry terminal. There seems to have been a conscious decision made by the promoters, Bodytonic, to expand on the non-music related features from last year which includes: a wide variety of talks with accompanying Q&A’s, an expanded flea market, a designated gaming zone and a specific child friendly play area. The layout of the festival itself is well thought out which allows the crowd to find their way around rather effortlessly, without the fear of having to rush around…

Featuring everyone from Parliament/Funkadelic legend George Clinton, Roy Ayers and Jape to Lee Scratch Perry, Rubberbandits and Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, The Beatyard will make a no doubt victorious return to Dublin’s Dun Laoghaire Harbour on Saturday July 30 and Sunday July 31.
