There’s nothing like a sold-out arena gig to remind you that online discourse is only a small part of any artist’s story. Viewed from behind a screen, Arctic Monkeys’ headline set at Glastonbury this year appeared divisive. ‘The new songs are boring’, ‘Alex Turner’s affectations have gone too far’, ‘they’ve lost their mojo’. Mitski has announced her return to Dublin. The indie rock trailblazer will play her biggest Irish headliner to date at 3Arena on 4th May 2024. The show – which features support from the one and only Richard Dawson – marks her return after following shows in 3Olympia, Vicar Street, Tivoli and Whelan’s over the last six years.
