House of Changes at Ormston House, Limerick

Tonight, Thursday 24 October 2024, from 6 to 11 pm, Ormston House in Limerick will host a remarkable event that promises to be a highlight of the Irish music calendar this year. House of Changes is a unique durational group improvisation, curated by artist-in-residence and TTA favourite Mícheál Keating, who has described it as “a jam-session of mega proportions.”

This singular gathering features an exceptional lineup of musicians from across the island: Keating, harpist Méabh McKenna, Péist on electronics/various instruments, cellist Eimear Reidy, saxophonist and clarinetist Cathal Roche, and fiddler/vocalist RÓIS.

You can expect for a multi-sensory masterclass that will take you on an immersive journey through a tapestry of spontaneous sounds—playful, serene and intensely captivating. This is a singular event for those who appreciate deep listening and creative exploration.

The performance is free, inviting audiences to come and go as they please. You’re encouraged to find a spot, relax and absorb the atmosphere throughout the evening. Mark our words: you don’t miss this unmissable experience if you’re in the Limerick area tonight.
