The full panel line-up for Output Belfast 2024 has been revealed, set to be a major part of this year’s Sound of Belfast, which runs from 7th to 17th November.
Over the last few years, Output has underscored its status as Ireland’s largest one-day music conference and showcase, presented by Belfast City Council/Belfast City of Music and curated by Score Draw Music.
The conference will feature over 30 workshops, panels, masterclasses, and talks, offering a comprehensive view of today’s industry. Spanning everything from creative skills like songwriting, production, and performance to essential business topics such as management, marketing, and industry networking, it’s designed to equip Northern Ireland’s music professionals.
Scheduled for Tuesday, 12th November, to coincide with the 10th anniversary of Sound of Belfast, this year’s conference will bring in a diverse range of industry experts. Among the stand-out sessions for us include Building a Team as an Independent Artist (presented by Women’s Work), Amplifying Black Music, Creative, and Business Talent in Ireland, and Music Support: Championing the Wellbeing of the Industry.
Other highly recommended panels include Beyond Borders – Global Music Collaboration in Northern Ireland, presented by Beyond Skin, Artist and Producer Management 101, and From Streaming to Physical: The Challenge Facing Indie Labels in 2024, chaired by AIM Ireland.
This year’s keynote speakers are Jo Twist (BPI), Mark Davyd (Music Venues Trust), and Joe Frankland (PRS for Music), who will share their perspectives on key trends and issues shaping the industry.
As ever, the daytime conference will take place at The Mac & Oh Yeah Centre from 10:00 to 17:00, followed by an evening of live music across various Cathedral Quarter venues from 19:00 onwards. Further details on the evening programme are to be announced soon and all events are free to attend.
