• Electric Picnic Reveal First Acts

    With the rumours coming thick and fast over the last couple of weeks, Electric Picnic have revealed the first acts confirmed to play this year’s festival. With much more yet to be revealed, LCD Soundsystem, Lana Del Rey, New Order and The Chemical Brothers top this year’s festival. Super Furry Animals, Haim, Todd Terje, Animal Collective, Broken Social Scene, Savages are also amongst the first confirmed acts. See the full first announcement below.   • Other Voices Electric Picnic Line-Up Revealed

    Having announced its first acts late last month, Other Voices have revealed the full schedule for this year’s Electric Picnic. Taking place over the three days and nights of the festival (Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6) East India Youth, August Wells, Ham Sandwich and The Staves are amongst 21 acts set to perform at the OV stage.   • RBMA Reveal Electric Picnic Line-Up

    With less than a month to go, Red Bull Music Academy has announced its line-up for this year’s sold out Electric Picnic. Daire Carolan, Paul Woolford and Space Dimension Controller will get things off to a first-rate start on the Friday, Saturday will see sets from Todd Terry, Lerosa and Morgan Buckley and Boya AKA Wino Boyz. Finally, on the Sunday, New Jackson, Krystal Klear (pictured), Tr One, Lunar Disko and The Gentleman’s Academy host the Red Bull Disco Brunch.

  • Body & Soul Announce Electric Picnic Line-Up

    With just over a month to go, Body & Soul have announced the line-up for this year’s sold out Electric Picnic. LA Priest, Hundred Waters, Meltybrains?, EMBRZ, Ho99o9 Natalie Press, Young Wonder and Everything Shook are amongst the many, many acts set to perform across Body and Soul’s two institution-like stages (Main Stage and Earthship stage) at the festival.     With Blur, Grace Jones, FKA Twigs, Mac DeMarco and more added to the bill yesterday, this year’s Electric Picnic is shaping up to be one of the best outings for the annual Co. Laois festival in years.     As we posted about last week, Blur are amongst several new acts set to play this year’s Electric Picnic. Also confirmed to play the annual Co. Laois festival – set to take place from September 4-6 – are Interpol, FKA Twigs, Grace Jones, Mac DeMarco, Sam Smith, Despacio, Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), MK, Gavin James, Printer Clips, Julio Bashmore, Paul Kalkbrenner, The Riptide Movement, The 2 Bears, SOAK, Viet Cong, Fickle Friends, Kwamie Liv, Honne, Fat White Family, Dawes and Benjamin Clementine.
