• Knockanstockan Announce Second Wave of Acts

    Knockanstockan have announced their second wave of acts for this year’s festival. Joining the likes of Just Mustard, Bicurious, Punk Podge & The Technohippies, Hot Cops, Cherym and Kitt Philippa, who were among the first names announced last month, include Robocobra Quartet, Slouch, Dowry, BATS, Jyellowl, Myles Manley, Rachael Boyd, No Spill Blood, Tebi Rex, Happyalone, The Wood Burning Savages and more.   • The Specials Set For Open House Festival

    English 2 Tone legends The Specials will play Bangor’s Open House festival in the summer. The Terry Hall-fronted band – who released their long-awaited eighth studio album, Encore, last month – will play the seafront as part of this year’s festival on Sunday, August 25. Tickets cost £45 and go on sale tomorrow (Friday, March 15) at 9am.     Kate Tempest and Princess Nokia are among the first names announced to play this year’s Body & Soul. Returning to Ballinlough Castle in Co. Westmeath across June 21-23, the annual Irish summer festival will also play host to The Blaze, Talos, SOAK, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Dream Wife, Modeselektor, Coely and Kiddy Smile, Santi Gold, Baikal, Monolink, The Drifer, Oshun, Mano Le Tough, Wyvern Lingo, Laoise, Tulla Céilí Band, whenyoung, The Murder Capital, Meltybrains?, Thumper, Niamh Regan, Lil’ Dave and The Clockworks.   • First Acts Announced For Forbidden Fruit 2019

    Forbidden Fruit have revealed their first names for 2019. The annual festival – which returns to Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin across the Bank Holiday weekend of June 1-3 – will welcome Skepta, Danny Brown, Mura Masa, Elbow, First Aid Kit, Jon Hopkins, Paul Kalkbrenner, Maribou State, Mall Grab, Daniel Avery, Polo & Pan, Homeshake, Ross from Friends and Saint Sister. More acts are to be announced. Day and weekend tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday.

  • The National to Headline All Together Now

    Having had an extremely strong first outing this year, All Together Now has announced that the National will headline the festival next year. When it returns to Curraghmore House in Co. Waterford across the August Bank Holiday (2nd-4th) weekend, the festival will now boast 16 stages, featuring natural amphitheatres, the iconic Spiegeltent, secret woodland stages and the All Together Now Bandstand, across a 3000 acre setting.   • It Takes A Village Announces 2019 Return

    Hands down one of the Irish festivals of the summer, It Takes a Village have announced details of their return in 2019. The East Cork festival will return to Trabolgan in East Cork across Friday to Sunday, May 10-12th 2019. This year’s inaugural outing took place in April, with Young Fathers, Andrew Weatherall and Fujiya and Miyagi topping a bill that also featured some of the country’s best acts including Talos, The Altered Hours, Ryan Vail, Le Boon and Anna Mieke.   • Metropolis Announce New Saturday Acts

    With just over five weeks to go to this year’s outing, Metropolis have announced new additions for its Saturday line-up. Off the back of Villagers recently being announced to headline and curate the Saturday at the festival, Friendly Fires, Booka Brass, David Keenan and Master of Ceremonies David O’Doherty have all been added.
