  • Gig of the week: Farriers, Anthony Toner & more @ Empire Music Hall

    Headlined by alt-rock band The Farriers, our Gig of the Week for this is a special fundraising show for disaster relief in Syria at Belfast’s Empire Music Hall on Friday, April 11. Not merely totally laudable for the great cause – aiding the afflicted caught up on the Syrian crisis – the line-up has all the makings of one of those all-too-rare “I was there” shows, with Anthony Toner, Master & Dog and Seven Summits (pictured) also amongst the acts set to perform.   • Harvest Music Festival Unveiled

    Set to take place on Saturday, August 31st, the inaugural Harvest festival has been unveiled. Already positing itself as Northern Ireland’s ultimate outdoor festival, the first ever line-up – taking place at Grey Abbey House – will feature Hayseed Dixie (pictured), Duke Special, Gareth Dunlop, Farriers, Emerald Armada and Belfast Community Gospel Choir. Tickets for the festival – the centrepiece of Ards 1613 festival – are available to purchase here, priced at £20.00 (children under 12 go free).

  • Rams’ Pocket Radio announces album launch show

    Lisburn singer-songwriter Rams’ Pocket Radio AKA Peter McCauley will perform a special show at Belfast Stiff Kitten on June 7 to mark the release of his new record, titled ‘Béton’. Supporting McCauley on the night will be Katharine Phillippa, Nathan Connolly of Snow Patrol, David C Clements, Gareth Dunlop, ASIWYFA and Owen Strathern from General Fiasco – all artists who have collaborated with the musician down the years.
