Making their long-awaited return to the gig circuit are seminal Irish math-rock act The Redneck Manifesto, who play Whelan's on February 16 as one of 2 newly-announced Irish shows.
Featuring amongst their ranks Richie Egan, aka Jape, on bass, they released their debut album, Thirtysixstrings in 2001, setting off a generation of Irish instrumental bands. Their last release was 2010's Friendship - their fourth LP. Check them out live at Electric Picnic 2016.
Supporting is genre-spanning singer-songwriter Paddy Hanna, who played Electric Picnic and more this summer, and released a great string of singles last year. Check out 'Underprotected'.
