Discharge w/Hornets, Suckin' Diesel & Lawfucker

    The Empire

British hardcore pioneers Discharge play the Empire in Belfast on May 12.

Formed in 1977, their initial run lasted for a decade, characterised by a slew of lineup changes, furiously impassioned anarcho-pacifist vocals married to raw, thick, guitar-driven attacks. Described most concisely as high-speed noise overload, they sounded like very little else when they released their debut album, Hear Nothing See Nothing Say nothing, in 1982 - the hardcore crossover trademark drumbeat, the d-beat, was even named after the band.

Listen to Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing.

Support comes from Belfast sludgy hardcore quartet Hornets, Belfast punks Suckin' Diesel and Lawfucker.

Tickets cost £15 from Ticketmaster. Doors open at 8.30pm.
