Grant Hart - co-founder, co-songwriter and drummer for seminal alternative/indie rock flagbearers Hüsker Dü - is to play Belfast in a show for The Thin Air alongside his current band The Burn/Burning.
Hart, who was in Hüsker Dü from 1979-1988, wrote some of the best-loved songs in the band's back catalogue including 'The Girl Who Lives On Heaven Hill', 'Diane' and 'Turn On The News', among many others. After they disbanded, he released his debut solo album, the incredible Intolerance then went on to form Nova Mob in late '89. Expect Hart's set at Voodoo on June 13 to consist of new material and music spanning his back catalogue.
Support comes in the form of Belfast-based folk ensemble Arborist, who you really ought to listen to. They've been together for mere months, "fuelled by the musical misadventures of Mark McCambridge". They recently released the exquisite single 'Incalulable Things'.
Entry costs £8 on the night, and doors open at 8.45pm.
