'90s Cincinnati alternative rock icons Afghan Whigs, return to Ireland after a long time away to play the Dublin's Academy on May 28.
Starting out in 1986 as a garage band, before signing to Sub Pop and becoming one of the prominent figures of the grunge movements, with their major-label debut and fourth album, 1993's Gentlemen being a classic of the genre. Fronted by Greg Dulli - also of the Twilight Singers & Gutter Twins - they broke up in 2001 before a full reunion in 2012. They're about to release In Spades, the second post-reformation album. Watch the video for 'Gentlemen'.
