    The Charlatans

    The Academy

English indie rock legends The Charlatans play Dublin's Academy on December 10.

This news follows the release of their thirteenth album, Different Days, another strong release amongst the band's consistent repertoire. Formed in the late eighties by bassist Martin Blunt, who eventually brought frontman Tim Burgess onboard, they were associated with the Britpop and Madchester scenes. They achieved hits from their debut album, 1990's Some Friendly and have largely went from strength to strength.  Different Days was recorded at the band's Chesire studio, and features appropriate contributions from friends from Paul Weller & Johnny Marr, through to the likes of more unexpected crime writer Ian Rankin & phenomenal writer/actress Sharon Horgan.

Tickets are priced at €36.50 from Ticketmaster. Doors open at 7pm.
