Consistently deemed the loudest band ever, experimental six piece Swans play the Button Factory on May 30 in what's expected to be their final Irish show with the current incarnation, before they become a Gira-led vehicle with a revolving cast of collaborators.
The ritualistic genre-spanning act are led by multi-instrumentalist Michael Gira. Initially active from 1982-1997 in the no wave and noise scene, they reformed in 2010, releasing their comeback My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope to the Sky in the same year. They followed it up with 2012's The Seer and double album, To Be Kind - the quality of which has ensured the band are currently at their critical peak - with The Glowing Man released in 2016.
Tickets are available from Tickets.ie, priced at €25. Doors open at 6.30pm.
