Fujiya & Miyagi: Transparent Things 10 Year Anniversary
Brighton trio Fujiya and Miyagi play Galway's Roisin Dubh on November 30 as part of the tenth anniversary tour for their breakthrough, Transparent Things.
The band formed in 2000, and their blend of pop-tinged electronica and the repetitious, placid krautrock gives them a sound that's truly their own. It's over 10 years since the 2006 release of their second album, a compendium of their previous standalone singles into Transparent Things, so the band are issuing it for the first time on vinyl as it was at the time, a dead format.
The LP will include a previously-unreleased Nike running track which clocks in at 43 minutes. Watch the video for their biggest single, 'Ankle Injuries'.
