Tony Wright's current primary guise VerseChorusVerse play their first full-band shows at Whelan's in Dublin and Belfast's Voodoo on June 13 & 15 respectively, ahead of VCV's debut album release.
A veritable local supergroup, the band consists - aside from Wright on vocals and guitar - of LaFaro's Jonny Black and Herb Magee on lead guitar and bass, former Panama Kings, General Fiasco and current Desert Hearts axeman Stu Bell on organ, guitar & lap steel, and behind the kit is General Fiasco/Desert Hearts' Leaky. They will bring to life what Wright calls “an edgy, full blooded, forward thinking, rootsy rock n' roll album laced equally with hope and realism.”
Whilst it’s essentially free, there is a limited amount of tickets available for the show. If you’re interested in attending, head to the VerseChorusVerse Facebook page and send a message stating an interest and how many tickets you would like (limited to two per person). You will then receive a confirmation request.
Doors are at 10pm. Band are on at midnight. Special DJ sets for the night are yet to be announced.
