Becoming one of the most essential live draws in recent years, funk/disco legends Chic return to Ireland, playing Belfast's Ormeau Park on June 15.
Regarding themselves as a rock band in a disco movement, the group released an almost-inappropriate number of classic disco/funk/soul singles in their original run from '76-'83. Nile Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards had been playing together for years, finally releasing Chic's debut single 'Everybody Dance' in 1977.
These days, they're one of the naturally tightest live bands in the world, selling out practically everywhere they go, with setlists peppered with some of the instantly recognisable hits - from Madonna to Daft Punk - penned by frontman Rodgers from the '70s through until today.
Support comes from Soul II Soul and Q&D, with more to be confirmed.
