    EastSide Arts Festival Presents: The Takeover - Valium, The Fake Flirtations & Molto Vivo

    As part of their youth initiative, the EastSide Arts Festival has turned over a full slot to young people, who will be booking, organising and managing an evening of local music to show case some of the great sounds we have in Northern Ireland. They’ve rented out a full 80 seated screen, the show will run from from 7PM - 11PM at the Strand Arts Centre on August 9.

    Performing are Valium, indie/alt rock outfit The Fake Flirtations and Molto Vivo.

    The aim, to spread the message about local arts and the work that young people do, means that the gig will be for all ages. It's been organised with the assistance of More Volume!, a music industry and events mentoring scheme for young locals who have a hunger for working in the community and arts. EastSide Arts is an initiative by EastSide Partnership to develop, support and deliver a wide range of arts activity and creativity across east Belfast.

    Admission is completely free and doors open at 7.30pm.
