CQAF's Out To Lunch, in association with Moving On Music, bring the experimental trio of Yorkston Thorne Khan back to Belfast, where they play the Black Box on January 24.
James Yorkston is renowned as one of the most influential singer-songwriters on the Scottish folk scene, Suhail Yusuf Khan is an award-winning sarangi player & classical singer from New Delhi, and Jon Thorne plays jazz double bass wwith electro outfit Lamb. The Scottish-Irish-Indian-English music hybrid lays in a warped dimension parallel to indie-folk & art music, touching on acoustic drone, 60's folk and Indian classical, amongst others. Their widely revered most recent album, Neuk Wight Delhi All-Stars came out in 2017 on Domino. Check out 'Sufi Song'.
