In an intimate performance at Galway's Black Gate Cultural Centre on May 23, the immensely talented creative marriage of American-born, Ireland-based multi-instrumentalist & singer-songwriter Peter Broderick and one of Ireland's foremost, Brigid Mae Power - whose second album The Two Worlds we named 2018 Irish album of the year.

Broderick has collaborated with M. Ward, Efterklang, Nils Frahm and many others, and has put out several solo albums that range from contemporary classical to homespun folk & voice recordings. Although his career is impossible to pin down, marked as it is with versatility, check him out live at the ARTE Festival.

Acclaimed by the likes of Uncut & The Guardian, Brigid Mae Power's her deeply expressive, hypnotic music has made her one of the finest purveyors of folk in the most human sense. She released her eponymous debut album in 2016, with its follow-up, The Two Worlds being named our favourite of last year. Watch the video for 'Don't Shut Me Up (Politely)'.
