    Daithí

    Duke of York, Upstairs

    Belfast

    daithi

Galway-based electronic producer Daithí is set to play a headline show upstairs at Belfast's Duke of York.

The pop experimentalist has managed to combine seemingly disparate elements - field recordings, house music, old Irish music, analog synths and trad - into his unmistakable singular output. His live show is largely improvised, whereby he spontaneously creates dance music with looped fiddle, synths and drum machines. He last year collaborated with genre-spanning Irish artists to great success - check it out here - and used a recording of his elderly grandmother in a hugely successful single, 'Mary Keane's Introduction' last year.

Tickets cost £10 from Shine & Ticketmaster. Doors open at 7pm.
