    Drab Majesty & Melts

    Regional Cultural Centre

    Letterkenny

    drabmaj

US LA-based project Drab Majesty is set to perform at Letterkenny's Regional Cultural Centre on Sunday, June 2 as part of Distorted Perspectives.

Drab Majesty is the inter-dimensional androgynous alter-ego of musician Andrew Clinco and Mona D, with a combination of reverb-drenched guitars, synth bass lines, commanding vocals, and rhythmic drum machine beats. While inherently guitar-driven music in the vain of The Chameleons or Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Drab Majesty's sound is often nuanced by ethereal washes of icy keyboards and arpeggiated synthesizers, backed by heavy mechanized percussion and forked pulsing synth bass, all adorned with reverb-laden vocals reminiscent of a hallowed cathedral. Listen to 2017 LP The Demonstration.

Supporting are Dublin post-punk/kraut supergroup Melts, featuring members of The Things, The North Sea & Mighty Stef - check out their debut single.

Admission costs €10 and doors open at 8pm.
