Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and composer Rufus Wainwright plays his second date for CQAF at St. Anne's Cathedral on May 7, following a sold out date the night prior.

This is the 20-year anniversary of his eponymous debut which first burst him onto the music scene. Immediately beloved and critically acclaimed, both Rufus and the record were widely hailed as a breakthrough. It influenced many artists that came after him and set the path for his illustrious career ever since.

One of the great male vocalists, songwriters and composers of his generation, and the son of Loudon, Rufus Wainwright has released eight studio albums, three DVDs, and three live albums. He has collaborated with artists ranging from Elton John, David Byrne, Mark Ronson, Joni Mitchell to Burt Bacharach. At the age of 14 he was named Canada’s best young musician and later received the Juno Award for Best Alternative Album. Watch the video for 'Sword of Damocles'.

Tickets cost £30 from CQAF. Doors open at 7.45pm.
