Incredible Irish folk voice Lisa O'Neill plays Coughlan's, Cork on May 26.
Her fourth LP, Heard A Long Gone Song came out in 2018, her first on Rough Trade imprint River Lea Records. It got a 5/5 from the Guardian, and was hailed as Best Folk Album of 2018. Featuring a broad cast of musicians in Cormac Begley, Christophe Capewell, Libby McCrohan and Radie Peat, it's a blend of traditional songs & original compositions. Often described as folk with a punk sensibility, her earthy poetry is evocative not just of the past but of the deeply subjective now, and her latest received universal acclaim. Watch her play 'Rock The Machine' live.
Tickets are available from Coughlans.ie, priced €18. Doors open at 8pm.
