Leafcutter John, Katie Gately, Sunken Foal & DJ Kate Butler

    The Sound House

Enthusiastic Eunuch bring another incredible bill to Dublin's Sound House on July 27. Headlining is UK-based experimental musician Leafcutter John, who utilises both folk and computer music, often using interactive programming software MAX/MSP for composition. Picked up early by Planet Mu, he's also a full-time member of Polar Bear and a sound artist, undergoing a multitude of fascinating installations and commissions for BBC Radio 3 amongst others. Check out 'Yes Come Parade With Us', from his latest, seventh album.

American experimental electronic artist Katie Gately also performs, using computer programs to shape her voice into dense, unsettling sound constructions. Her unpredictable compositions waver between industrial collages and playful, abstract pop tunes, exhibiting an absurdist sense of humor and an ear for rhythm and melody. Following a stretch of EPs & singles, she released her debut album Colour in 2016, with the follow-up in progress. Check out short doc 'How Much Can You Feel'.

Dunk Murphy, aka Sunken Foal, has been performing for two decades under various names. He's worked with and championed by the likes of Planet Mu, Mary Anne Hobbs, John Peel and beyond. He started releasing his Ribbon Works EP series through his own Countersunk label earlier this year, featuring multi-tracked ribbon synth arrangements recorded between 2012-2019 featuring several collaborators. DJ Kate Butler will also delve into spaced-out grooves, trippy dirges, bountiful bass & disorientating futurism.

Tickets cost €18.50 from Billetto. Doors open at 9pm.
