Trish Clowes is one of the most agile and original jugglers of improv and adventurous composition working today. Her current project, ‘My Iris’, features Ross Stanley on piano & Hammond organ, Chris Montague on guitar, and James Maddren on drums. Its thrilling, darkly groove-laden sound is reminiscent of Weather Report, with bursts of free-jazz. They perform at the Black Box for Moving On Music on October 4.
Clowes has released two acclaimed albums under the My Iris name, with the most recent, being Ninety Degrees Gravity, inspired by the ideas & themes of Villeneuve's sci-fi Arrival.
