Post-hardcore legends Jawbox make their first ever Irish appearance at Whelan's on June 8.
Formed by J Robbins & Kim Coletta in Washington DC in 1989, they released a string of 7"s and four studio albums, ultimately breaking up in 1997. Its members continued to work - to varying degrees - in the music industry, with Robbins & guitarist Bill Barbot forming Burning Airlines, and Coletta co-running a label. In 2019, the band announced they would officially reunion. Check their recent Live at KEXP session.
Tickets are available from Ticketmaster. Doors open at 8pm.
