Irish experimental label Unbend Leg Out returned in December with its only release of 2019, Gorrister‘s Full Almond. Comprised of Tongue Bundle and The Barry People’s Warren Pollard and Pob, the album is a typically raucous collection of distorted bass howls, noisy kicks and jarring FX, samples and screams. It’s delightfully frenzied, and not at all for the faint of heart. Below, you can check out the video for album opener, ‘School Tour’, a screeching number that stars the LP as it means to continue. The accompanying visuals are fittingly intense and eerie. Warning: contains flashing images Listen to/buy Gorrister’s Full Almond through…

Experimental Dublin jazz-punk outfit Tongue Bundle have released their second album, Peppery Talk through esoteric Irish label Unbend Leg Out. What started out as a rework of early EP Salty Language, ended up as the band’s latest album. Evolving their soulful jazz-funk, Zappa-esque work, they’ve delved further, this music a sample-heavy frenzy, reminiscent of The Books, Air and the dark, tripping urbanity of UK dub outlier Burial. This follows up on 2015 debut LP Bungee Untold. Stream Peppery Talk: Peppery Talk by Tongue Bundle

The sample-heavy frenzy, reminiscent of The Books, Air and the dark, tripping urbanity of UK dub outlier Burial is yet another startling cut from an album that is shaping up to be one of the most interesting to come out of the country this year. Tongue Bundle will launch Peppery Talk on March 4th in The…

Dublin based experimentalists Tongue Bundle will release the follow up to their 2015 LP Bungee Untold on March 4th in the form of Peppery Talk. The band, known for their frenzied and mind-boggling live shows, now reveal the video for ‘Bobby’, a glitchy number from the forthcoming album. Steering away from the Mr.Bungle style carnival-mania of their previous efforts, ‘Bobby’ is a much more electronic affair that still manages to retain their punkish energy. Chock with jarred keys, ominous spoken samples and frenetic percussion, it seems Tongue Bundle are opting to venture even further down the rabbit hole for this latest venture. Fine by us. Tongue…
