It’s been a real joy seeing Quiet Lights shine a light on both Irish and International folk, traditional, and experimental music over the last few years. Six years on from its debut outing, the festival returns in November with its strongest programme to date.
Returning to Cork City across 21-24th November, this year’s line-up features a host of long-time TTA favourites, among them Elaine Howley and Rachael Lavelle, who will perform a double-header, as well as Joshua Burnside, Aoife Wolf, Cormorant Tree Oh, Lemoncello, Mohammad Syfkhan and Ana Palindrome. The inclusion of The Tan Jackets, Lisa Hanigan, Cormac Begley, and Muireann Bradley and more only underscores the fest as the result of a supreme curatorial touch.
Festival Director Jonathan Pearson says: “We’re delighted to be back doing Quiet Lights this year, our favourite time of the year. We’d like to welcome everyone back into some of Cork’s venues to witness the amazing musicians that we have coming to our little festival this year. Once again the festival’s backbone is in the brilliance of our local venues, and we’d like to thank them for their ongoing partnership in hosting these brilliant artists. We think there’s something for everyone and we’re looking forward to seeing you at a show.”
You’ll struggle to find a better Irish festival this side of 2025. Tickets are on sale now.
