• Visual Arts Outlook (16/2)

After a brief January hiatus The Visual Arts Outlook is back and bringing you a selection of the best Irish Contemporary Arts this week. There is a whole bunch of great events happening and even though it’s cold and raining, I think you won’t regret getting out there to see what’s on. If you are in Belfast on Saturday, head over to Source Photo Day, on the first floor of Castle Court at 1pm. A talk from John Duncan will be delivered followed by a discussion. Also on Saturday evening at Void, Derry is the Abridged 0 – 14: Floodland Magazine…

Well, it’s now November. I can’t believe it! The beginning of the month can only mean one thing: Late Night Art, or ‘First Thursday’. Also, not forgetting that this is ‘Belfast Design Week’ there are lots of events happening across the town, check out their schedule here. To coincide with Belfast Design Week, the Arts and Disability Forum…

Definately check out ‘Because these Reds’ by  Ciarán Wood at PS2 on Donegal Street which continues until the 15th August. I would also recommend dropping into the Mac today or tomorrow to witness the screening of the ‘Creative Time Summit’. The Mac is…

It’s a busy week ahead with the first Thursday of July bringing the usual round of Late Night Art Openings here in Belfast, writes Mary Stevens. However Thursday is not the only night this week when good things are happening. There is a closing event for Product Recall at the Galway Arts Center on Friday evening at 6.30pm with work from the Red Bird Youth Collective who have collaborated with US artist Sarah Baker. The final event of the seemingly endless  BASS Belfast Artists’ Sonic Showcase Event #6 at Framewerk takes place on Saturday evening with the final lineup of…
