As part of International Women’s Day and the Capital Irish Film Festival, and commissioned by Solas Nua, traditional vocal quartet Landless have crafted a free concert film of traditional songs in collaboration with experimental visual artists Ruth Clinton and Niamh Moriarty, titled Two Miles of Earth for a Marching Stone. Brigid, the Irish pre-Christian goddess of poetry, is the inspiration for a psychic vision exploring feelings of intangible longing arising from experiences of emigration. As part of the 2020 EFG London Jazz Festival, one of Ireland’s finest live acts, and long-time TTA favourites Robocobra Quartet are set to broadcast a 30 minute set of their boundary-pushing jazz-infused post-punk this Sunday, November 22nd at 6pm. One of the many acts hit with a postponement were Brand New Friend, who were to play one of their biggest headline shows at the start of the lockdown. Johnson siblings Taylor (vocals/guitar), Lauren (vocals/synth) and Logan (bass) will be streaming a series of intimate live acoustic performances on their Instagram & Facebook.
