With just over a month to go, Body & Soul have announced the line-up for this year’s sold out Electric Picnic. LA Priest, Hundred Waters, Meltybrains?, EMBRZ, Ho99o9 Natalie Press, Young Wonder and Everything Shook are amongst the many, many acts set to perform across Body and Soul’s two institution-like stages (Main Stage and Earthship stage) at the festival. A highly-anticipated annual fixture at the breathtaking Charleville Castle in Tullamore, Castlepalooza 2014 will take place across the weekend of August 1-3. Ireland’s premier electronic musical festival, Celtronic will return to Derry for its fourteenth year from Wednesday, June 25. Running to Sunday June 29, some of the finest producers and DJs in dance and electronic music including Ben UFO, Derrick Carter, Karenn Feat Blawan and Pariah, Magic Mountain High, Pearson Sound and Space Dimension Controller will perform in various venues such as Sandinos, The Nerve Centre and Masons across the city over five days. Kicking off in exactly three months time, the two headliners for this year’s Sunflowerfest have been announced at Belfast’s Sunflower Bar. Taking place across the weekend of August 22-25, English dance act The Orb and Co. Down rock quartet The Answer (pictured) were revealed as this year’s headliners, set to perform on the Friday and Saturday night respectively. With the rest of the line-up yet to be announced, tickets for the festival are currently available to buy via the official Sunflowerfest website.

Garage-blues due The Bonnevilles, alt-rock trio Abandcalledboyand folk duo New Ancestors are amongst the acts announced to play this year’s Tanglewood Festival. Returning to Newry’s Narrow Water Castle on for the fourth running on July 4 and 5, the festival will also feature performances from the likes of Ports (Little Bear), Mere Moths, Gascan Ruckus, Podracer and a band called – wait for it – The Scrotes. Now in its ninth year – the year “of the Rex”, no less – Forfey Festival have announced the first dozen acts to play the festival this Summer. With many acts yet to be announced, the first twelve acts confirm to play are The Emerald Armada, Skeletons, Rupture Dogs, RAMS’ Pocket Radio, More Than Conquerors, Joshua Burnside, Hornets, Go Wolf, Ciaran Lavery, Carriages, Bee Mick See and Affleck.
