    Derry electronic duo Ryan Vail (Vail and his other half in Katie Cosgrove) have long been one of our favourite acts for summoning a very particular sense of nocturnalism in their music.   • Stream: PØRTS – Ancient Wave

    In a rather unexpected nominal curveball, fast-rising Derry quartet Little Bear have changed their name to PØRTS (monosyllabism, capitalisation and obscurism is in, after all) as well as releasing a new track,  ‘Ancient Wave’. Bearing a distinctly more fleshed-out sound than previously heard, the song retain the band’s building, anthemic shtick whilst hinting at treading new ground in terms of ambience and soundscaping in new material.   • Stream: Bouts – 6.0

    Set to feature on their forthcoming debut album, Dublin indie-rock foursome Bouts are streaming their ridiculously infectious new single, ‘6.0’. Having already release a self-titled EP in 2011 and a double A-side single last February, Nothing Good Gets Away is set for release on the band’s very own Wonky Karousel Records on October 25. Mixed by Jessie Gander (Japandroids’ Celebration Rock), the album was recorded in various locations in Dublin.   • Download: Nine Inch Nails – Copy Of A

    Taken from the band’s forthcoming new album Hesitation Marks, Nine Inch Nails are giving away a new track – ‘Copy Of A’ – via Amazon. Something of a recent live staple, the track comes off the back of the release of ‘Came Back Haunted’ in June, the band’s first single since signing with Columbia Records.     Swedish duo Maria Lindén and Fredrick Balck AKA I Break Horses are streaming a new track, ‘Denial’, via Soundcloud. Following on from their 2011 debut album Hearts, the two -piece are currently in the process of recorded its full-length follow-up, set for release via Bella Union in the Autumn.
