• Bon Iver To Make Dublin Return

    Justin Vernon aka Bon Iver is set to return to Dublin. Having last played the venue back in 2012, the Wisconsin artist and his band will play 3Arena on Sunday, May 3. Support on the night comes from Big Red Machine, Vernon’s side-project with the National’s Aaron Dessner. Tickets range from €49.50-€54.50 and go on sale at 9am on Friday.

  • The Bernard Shaw Set to Close

    The Bernard Shaw is set to close. The pub and venue, which has been a vital hub in Dublin over the last 13 years, will close its doors at the end of October. Back in May, the Bernard Shaw was refused permission permission by An Bord Pleanála to keep its beer garden and dining area open. In a statement, management said, “It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the end of our Bernard Shaw adventure.     Cork-based production company Deep Red – named for Argento’s 1975 masterpiece – hold their their Spook Screen festival this weekend, which takes in a range of appropriate environments for a fully immersive horror & fantasy experience, accompanied by Q&As with special guests, in association with Cork Cinemas Kicking off on Friday the 13th at Triskel Arts Centre is 1991’s Robin Hood, which stars Patrick Bergin and Uma Thurman.     We’d the utmost pleasure of hosting the debut Irish shows from Welsh noise rock heroes Mclusky at Belfast’s Voodoo and Dublin’s Workman’s Club at the weekend. Two sell-outs and two extraordinary sets from easily one of the best bands of a generation.   • Jon Hopkins For Dublin Return

    Jon Hopkins will play Dublin as part of his Polarity tour 2020. One of the highlights of this year’s Forbidden Fruit, the English musician and producer will play Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on Friday, March 6.
