• Built To Spill Announce Dublin Return

    Idaho indie rock heroes and TTA favourites Built To Spill will make their long-awaited return to Dublin next year. Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the Doug Martsch-fronted band’s fourth studio album, Keep It Like a Secret, the band will play Workman’s Club on Sunday, April 28th. The band last played Dublin back in 2010.     For over fifty years, German saxophonist & clarinettist Peter Brötzmann has exemplified European improvised music. His excoriating, volatile style soundtracked a continent ravaged by division & civil unrest, tearing up convention and laying the groundwork for the defiant late 60s European avant-garde. Pitchfork describes him as “one of the most devastating forces to ever touch a saxophone”.   • The Cure Set For Dublin Return

    Fancy an alternative to Metallica and co. at Slane on June 8 next year? You’re in luck: legendary English band The Cure have posted on Twitter to say that they’ll return to play Dublin on the exact same date. Aside from Oxegen 2004, the Robert Smith-fronted band last played the city in 1996. Venue and ticket price is to be confirmed.

  • Metallica Confirmed for Slane 2019

    It’s been confirmed that Metallica will headline Slane next year. As part of their WorldWired Tour, the L.A. metal titans will top the bill for the iconic Co. Meath concert series on June 8, 2019. With more acts to be announced, Ghost and Bokassa will support. The show will mark the James Hetfield-fronted band’s return to Ireland, having last played Dublin in 2009 and Belfast in 2010. Go here for pre-sale information. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10am.

  • Hozier Set For Irish Tour

    As part of a wider European tour, Hozier will play five Irish dates in December. As well as a three-night run at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin across December 15-17, the songwriter and his band will play Belfast’s Ulster Hall on December 19 and Killarney’s INEC on December 20. Tickets for all shows go on sale this Friday, September 21 at 9am.

  • David Duchovny Set For Dublin Gig

    (The actual) David Duchovny will play Dublin’s Academy on Wednesday, February 20. Having released his debut album Hell or Highwater in 2015, and its follow-up, Every Third Thought, earlier this year, the actor, writer, director and – more recently – recording artist will make his Irish gig debut at this show. Tickets are €30 and go on sale on Friday at 9am.

  • The Murder Capital Announce Irish Tour

    Fast-rising Dublin band The Murder Capital have announced details of a two-part Irish tour across November and December. The James McGovern-fronted five-piece – who impressed at various Irish festivals this summer including Electric Picnic – will play Galway, Limerick, Cork, Belfast and Derry.   • Julia Holter Set For Dublin Return

    Alongside details of her forthcoming fifth studio album, Aviary, it’s been revealed that Julia Holter will play Dublin in December. Having played the city twice in 2016, and once in 2012, the L.A. artist will return to play the Button Factory on Saturday, December 8. Tickets cost €24.00 and on sale this Friday at 10am.   • Ash to Play Belfast and Dublin in December

    Northern Irish alt-rock heroes Ash have announced they will play Belfast and Dublin later in the year. Tim Wheeler, Mark Hamilton and Rick McMurray will stop off at Dublin’s Academy on Wednesday, December 19 and Belfast’s Limelight on Thursday, December 20. On sale at 9am on Friday, tickets cost €27 and £20 respectively. Back in May, the band released their seventh studio album, Islands.

  • Public Service Broadcasting Set For Irish Return

    Public Service Broadcasting have announced they will return two Irish dates at the start of next year. The London three-piece will play Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on Thursday, January 31st and Belfast’s Limelight 1 on Friday. February 1st. Tickets are priced £25.00 and €31.50 respectively and go on sale at 10am, Thursday, September 6th.
