Boston alternative rock legends Pixies are set for an in-store at Dublin’s Tower Records. Ahead of their show at Olympia later that night, the Black Francis-fronted quartet will be signing copies of their new album, Beneath The Eyrie, at the Dawson Street store at 1pm on Thursday, September 26. Simply up a copy of the new album on its release on 13th of September and receive a wristband to come and meet the band and get the album signed. Spaces are very limited.

As with every year in recent memory, Dublin’s Tower Records is marking this year’s Record Store Day on Saturday, April 13 in style. This year, the store – Ireland’s largest independent record shop – is marking the occasion with a week-long celebration, with countless records, old and new, being sold with a massive price reduction. As we well know, Record Store Day takes place this Saturday, April 21st, and in celebration, Bangor’s leading the annual day of wax in the North with a series of events on High Street. Unfortunately for Belfasters, the closure of Belfast mainstays, Head & Sick Records has left them with no local outlets.
