To honour the life and career of outstanding guitarist Henry McCullough, who sadly passed away last year, Limavady’s Stendhal Festival – August 11th & 12th – have announced a Henry McCullough Stage, and new partnership charity Help Musicians Northern Ireland. HMNI curate the stage on Friday night, as well as the Oh Yeah Centre stage, and have announced the first wave of acts for their bill. As well as a distinguished solo career, McCullough was best-known for his time with Wings, and was famously the only Irishman to play Woodstock, where he played with Joe Cocker in one of the all-time great live performances.…

With the music side of things shaping up very nicely indeed, it’s been announced that David O’Doherty will headline this year’s comedy line-up at Stendhal Festival in Limavady. The festival – which returns to the wonderfully scenic Ballymully Cottage Farm across August 11-12 – will host the award-winning Dublin comedian, author, musician, actor and playwright, amongst a string of other stand-ups and comics yet to be announced. The line-up has been announced for this year’s Stendhal Festival of Art. Celebrating its third birthday on August 16 and 17 this year, The Bonnevilles, Little Bear and Pocket Billiards are amongst the first acts to be confirmed for the annual Limavady festival.
