    Featuring his good friend Kev Jones from alt-punk band Empty Lungs, Belfast-based hip hop artist Brendan Seamus AKA BeeMickSee has unveiled the video for his new single, ‘Awkward’. Directed by Lauren Dusty McLune, the video – also featuring Seamus – is nicely edited together Sarah McGlinchey. The single itself is taken from BeeMickSee’s forthcoming album, The Belfast Yank, which features co-production from Rocky O’Reilly.   • Watch: The Wood Burning Savages – America

    Having becoming highly evolved over the last couple of months, Derry alt-rock quartet The Wood Burning Savages have unveiled their first music video, for their single ‘America’. Shot on zero budget and featuring some masterfully-compiled stock footage, the video was created and edited by Chris McAlinden. Additional footage was supplied by Fiachra O’ Longain and Lisa Byrne. The single is officially release on March 18, and will be available from iTunes and all other major online retailers. Watch the video below.

    Having had an extremely encouraging first year together, alt-rock band Little Matador have unveiled the video for their debut single, ‘Stitch Yourself Up’ A self-proclaimed “earth-quaking stomp full of swagger and intent; dripping aggression, danger and sex in equal measure” the video features the band’s frontman, Nathan Connolly, getting a little more than he bargained for. ‘Stitch Yourself Up’ will feature on the band’s forthcoming self-titled debut album, set for release on April 21.     Featuring visuals by Brendan Canty of Feel Good Lost, Cork alt-rock four-piece The Shaker Hymn have unveiled the video to their new psych-tinged single, ‘The Runaway’. The second single to be lifted from their forthcoming debut album – the altogether curiously-titled Rascal’s Antique’s – the song was mixed alongside the album’s other nine tracks by Christian Best, who has worked with Mick Flannery and O Emperor.     Having descended from The Good Fight, Derry singer-songwriter duo Adam Montgomery and Ben Robinson AKA Sullivan & Gold have unveiled the video to their new single, ‘Glory’. Vividly capturing a sense of everyday paralysis and unspoken interpersonal deliberation – much like the videos for Feet For Wings‘ ‘Cathedral St.’ and Kodaline’s ‘All I Want’ – the video features a cameo from the duo’s fellow Smalltown America-signed songsmith, Our Krypton Son. ‘Glory’ is the second single taken from Sullivan & Gold’s hugely promising debut album, For Foes.   • Premiere: The Twenty – You Can’t Be Lonely Forever

    The first installment of a new two-single release, Belfast-based, Derry-derived alt/punk band The Twenty have unveiled the video for ‘You Can’t Be Lonely Forever’. A cover of the Bam Bam and the Calling original – written by Paul PJ McCartney from the band – the cover features the Twenty’s ever-inimitable, Colm Warren-fronted punk snarl and proves suitably stripped-back homage.     Having already besot us the singles ‘Original Bird’ and ‘The Difference Between’, Lisburn alt-rock band Mojo Fury have unveiled the video to ‘Iris Influential, their latest single to be taken from their second studio album. Directed by Daniel Holmes, the video features the Mike Mormecha-fronted band luring zombie-like aficionados from the night to revel in the track’s masterfully understated cosmic groove.     Taken from their forthcoming debut album, Belfast-based pop four-piece the Wonder Villains have released the typically starry-eyed video for their new single, ‘Marshall’. Shot at legendary Portrush amusement complex, Barry’s, the video was directed by Little Giant Films‘ Robin Morgan and a small team of producers and assistant directors. Wonder Villain’s debut full-length offering, Rocky – named after one of the band’s managers, producer Rocky O’Reilly – will be released via No Dancing/Third Bar on March 24.
