• The Altered Hours Announce Irish Fall Tour

  • Kraftwerk 3D Set For Dublin and Belfast

    Following hugely successful worldwide concert tours, German electronic legends Kraftwerk will bring their career-distilling 3-D show to Dublin’s Bord Gais Energy Theatre and Belfast’s Waterfront Hall on June 2 and 4 next year. Bringing together music and performance art, the concerts are a true “Gesamtkunstwerk – a total work of art.” Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday (September 30), priced from €62.50 (Dublin) and £49.00 (Belfast).

  • Primal Scream Set For Dublin and Belfast

    Returning for their first shows here in three years, Primal Scream have announced they will play Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on Wednesday, November 30 and Belfast’s Limelight on Thursday, December 1. Kicking off in Edinburgh and concluding at London’s Brixton Academy, the UK and Irish tour comes off the back of the release of their eleventh album, Chaosmosis, back in March. With support from Japanese noise-rock band Bo Ningen on all dates, check out the full dates below. Tickets are on sale this Friday, priced €35 for Olympia and £27.50 for Belfast.

  • Low Announce Irish Christmas Shows

    A band synonymous for Christmas for many (not least thanks to their 1999 album of the same name) Duluth indie rock trio Low will three Irish dates in December. Closing their A Christmas Performance tour, Alan Sparhawk and co. will play Belfast’s Empire Music Hall on Monday, December 12, Dublin’s Christchurch on Tuesday, December 13 and Kilkenny’s Set Theatre on Wednesday, December 14. The band last played Belfast in 2013, Dublin in 2012 and Kilkenny back in 2009. Tickets are on sale at 9am on Friday, September 16.

  • David Holmes Announces Late Night Tales Album Launch

    With support from several acts that feature on the release, David Holmes has announced details for the launch of his forthcoming Late Night Tales curated compilation. As well as a set from the Belfast DJ and producer, Barry Woolnough, Alain Maclean, the legend that is BP Fallon and Belfast drone pop masters Documenta will also perform at the launch at Belfast’s Maple Leaf Club on Saturday, October 15.   • Kate Tempest Set For Dublin Show

    Few artists come in the mould of Kate Tempest. Having started out when she was 16, the London poet, spoken word artist, rapper and playwright’s career to date has a traversed a critically-acclaimed series of plays, being awarded the Ted Hughes Prize for her theatrical spoken word piece Brand New Ancients, a Mercury-nominated debut album in Everybody Down and more. A restless, trailblazing creator, the self-proclaimed poet-rapper-playwright will play Dublin’s Whelan’s on November 26 off the back of the release of her forthcoming new album, Let Them Eat Chaos, which is released on October 7 via Fiction Records.   • Super Furry Animals Set For Irish Dates

    Kicking off a string of winter dates culminating in a homecoming show in Cardiff, Welsh psych-pop legends Super Furry Animals will perform their landmark debut album, Fuzzy Logic, and its follow-up, Radiator, in order and back-to-back at Belfast’s Limelight and Dublin’s Olympia on November 30 and December 1. The dates mark the forthcoming re-issue of Fuzzy Logic on heavyweight vinyl, CD and digital formats. Fully remastered from the original tape reels, the band have enlisted their official archivist Kliph Scurlock and mastering expert Donal Whelan to ensure the recordings have been “meticulously rediscovered”.   • We Are Scientists Announce Irish Dates

    Having released their fifth studio album, Helter Seltzer, back in April, We Are Scientists are returning for three Irish shows in October as part of their latest UK and Irish tour. The New York-based duo – who burst onto the scene back in 2005 with their major label classic With Love and Squalor – play Dublin’s Opium Rooms on October 20, Galway’s Roisin Dubh on October 21 and Belfast’s Limelight 2 on October 23.   • Battles Set to Return to Galway

    Eight years on from their last show in the legendary Galway venue, it’s been announced that experimental rock powerhouse Battles will return to play Roisin Dubh on Monday, August 15. Having released their critically acclaimed third studio album La Di Da Di back in September last year via Warp Records, the New York band played a typically emphatic show at Dublin’s Button Factory back in March (check out our review/gallery here).
