• Watch: Franz Ferdinand – Right Action

    Scottish four-piece Franz Ferdinand have unveiled the video to their new single, ‘Right Action’. Taken from the band’s first album in four years – Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action – the video was directed by Jonas Odell, the man behind the band’s video for ‘Take Me Out‘.   • Watch: The Jepettos – Chemicals

    Derry/Belfast lullaby-folk band The Jepettos have unveiled the video to their latest single, ‘Chemicals’. A charmingly melancholic tale of lost love, the track was recorded and mixed by Rocky O’Reilly at Start Together Studios Belfast, whilst the video was directed by Darren Lee and features the band’s front-couple Mike and Ruth Aicken.   • Watch: A Plastic Rose – Kids Don’t Behave Like This

    Having relocated to Nottingham a couple of months ago, Irish quartet A Plastic Rose have re-released the video to their forthcoming single, ‘Kids Don’t Behave Like This’. Originally released bacj in March 2010, the re-launched single is taken from the band’s album Camera.Shutter.Life. It will be officially released on July 15 via Di Di Mau Records/Third Bar. Watch the video (featuring a whole host of familiar faces) below.  

  • Watch: Silhouette – Put The Silence On Hold

    Silhouette AKA Maghaherafelt singer-songwriter Shauna Tohill has unveiled the video to her new single, ‘Put The Silence On Hold’. Taking from the fast-rising songstress’ debut EP, Can’t Keep Up, the video was produced by Darren Lee of Maverick Renegade Productions. According to Silhouette’s YouTube page, the song “is a story about love and letting love develop into the beauty that it is, even through difficult times.” Silhouette will support Blondie on their two Irish dates next week before performing Glasgowbury and Kendal Calling next month.   • Watch: Our Krypton Son – Gargantuan

    Derry based singer-songwriter Chris McConaghy AKA Our Krypton Son has unveiled the video to his forthcoming single, ‘Gargantuan’. Produced by Tristan Crowe and Sarah McGlinchey, the video features McConaghy and his band performing inter-cut with a short film. ‘Gargantuan’ is the third single to be taken from McConaghy’s self-titled debut album, released last year via Smalltown America Records. Our Krypton Son will play Music City 2013 at the Craft Village Derry on June 21 and Sea Sessions in Bundoran, Co. Donegal the following night. Watch the video below.

    Belfast-based singer-songwriter VerseChorusVerse AKA Tony Wright has released the video to a new track, ‘The Birds’. Filmed by Will McConnell of Bandwidth Films, it is latest promo video from the North Coast native, who is set to release his highly-anticipated debut album in the coming months. A so-called “paper crushed, insected, digital love story” the video for the song was animated, directed and designed by Pixelgram AKA Aaron McKee.
