  • Watch: The Wood Burning Savages – America

    Having becoming highly evolved over the last couple of months, Derry alt-rock quartet The Wood Burning Savages have unveiled their first music video, for their single ‘America’. Shot on zero budget and featuring some masterfully-compiled stock footage, the video was created and edited by Chris McAlinden. Additional footage was supplied by Fiachra O’ Longain and Lisa Byrne. The single is officially release on March 18, and will be available from iTunes and all other major online retailers. Watch the video below.

    Having had an extremely encouraging first year together, alt-rock band Little Matador have unveiled the video for their debut single, ‘Stitch Yourself Up’ A self-proclaimed “earth-quaking stomp full of swagger and intent; dripping aggression, danger and sex in equal measure” the video features the band’s frontman, Nathan Connolly, getting a little more than he bargained for. ‘Stitch Yourself Up’ will feature on the band’s forthcoming self-titled debut album, set for release on April 21.     Featuring visuals by Brendan Canty of Feel Good Lost, Cork alt-rock four-piece The Shaker Hymn have unveiled the video to their new psych-tinged single, ‘The Runaway’.   • EP Stream: The Bedroom – The Graveyard of Ambition

    Having well and truly shed the skin of his previous outfit, Eatenbybears, London-based, Galway-derived musician Olan Stephens AKA The Bedroom has self-released his debut EP, The Graveyard of Ambition.     General Fiasco brothers Owen and Enda Strathern have unveiled their debut track as Oh Volcano, titled ‘Oceans’. Marking a decidedly more progressive and electronic direction, the track is accompanied by a video directed by local musician and filmmaker Edward Butler. General Fiasco announced a hiatus in early 2013 but have played a few gigs with Duke Special and a one-off small gig in Belfast. Check out the video for the ‘Oceans’ below.
